Do you know what truth is?  Do you know what the root meaning of the word for truth is in Hebrew?  Things to be remembered.  With the emphasis on the things to be perpetuated because they should never be forgotten.  That’s a meaning of truth you’ve never heard before.

Here’s an interesting mystery that points to a civilization that had the opportunity to accurately map the coastline of Antarctica despite the fact that it has been covered by ice a mile in thickness for the past 6000 years.  In 1513 Piri Reis, a Turkish admiral, drew a map which was a compilation of many older maps he had at his disposal.  The map he drew was of the Southern Atlantic region between Africa and South America.  The map included the Northern coastline of Antarctica which had not been known to have been discovered at the time.  But the real mystery was that the map appeared to have charted the coastline at a time when it was not covered in ice.  How is this possible? 

In the mid twentieth century the map was studied by Professor Hapgood of Keene College.  On 6th July 1960 the U. S. Air Force sent the following communication to Professor Hapgood:

“6, July, 1960

Subject: Admiral Piri Reis Map
TO: Prof. Charles H. Hapgood 
Keene College 
Keene, New Hampshire

Dear Professor Hapgood,Your request of evaluation of certain unusual features of the Piri Reis map of 1513 by this organization has been reviewed.The claim that the lower part of the map portrays the Princess Martha Coast of Queen Maud Land, Antarctic, and the Palmer Peninsular, is reasonable.We find that this is the most logical and in all probability the correct interpretation of the map.  The geographical detail shown in the lower part of the map agrees very remarkably with the results of the seismic profile made across the top of the ice-cap by the Swedish-British Antarctic Expedition of 1949.This indicates the coastline had been mapped before it was covered by the ice-cap.The ice-cap in this region is now about a mile thick.We have no idea how the data on this map can be reconciled with the supposed state of geographical knowledge in 1513.

Once again we find tangible evidence that we did not evolve from primitive life forms.  Our earliest ancestors were blessed with knowledge and abilities bestowed from the Creator.  It has taken at least 6000 years for us to scratch together just some of what was already known to them.  “The Bible suggests that man used to be very smart and got dumb.  Science suggests that man used to be a cave man, very stupid, and got smart.  Man was once very very smart and somewhere lost it.  And now, struggling back (Gene Scott).”

There is little doubt that all living things are subject to evolutionary forces much like Darwin theorized. That is not the same as implying that man, our species, evolved from a more primitive one. Once created, however, we evolved as all living things do.

Bill Maher longs to be in touch with his inner ape. We have found remains from several million years ago that appear to be human. These remains could be of humans or near-humans that actually did derive from apes. That doesn’t mean we’re their descendants. Sorry, Bill, you’re one of us.
